KUNCI mengundang anda untuk hadir dalam acara diskusi publik bersama Lars Hayer. Lars Hayer, ko-direktur Wasteland Twinning Network, akan berbicara mengenai Wasteland Twinning Forum yang baru saja diselenggarakan di Berlin dan membagikan perjalanannya mengunjungi lokasi dan rekanan jaringan WT, di India, Asia Tenggara hingga Australia. Seniman yang berbasis di Berlin ini, tumbuh besar di Afrika Utara, mempelajari filologi di Jerman, seni rupa dan fotografi di Perancis dan bekerja sebagai fotografer dan pengembang situs web untuk platform seni budaya.

Wasteland Twinning bekerja dengan gagasan mengenai tanah kosong sebagai wilayah kompleks yang berada di antara kerja-kerja sosial, alam, dan teknologi, serta menyediakan kaitan unik antara manusia dan lanskap. Yogyakarta, dikerjakan oleh KUNCI dan tim Bon Suwung, bersama dengan situs-situs lainnya di seluruh dunia, seperti Malaysia, India, Jerman, Inggris, bergabung dalam jaringan Wasteland Twinning. Dengan membajak konsep `kota kembar' dan mengaplikasikannya pada tanah kosong urban, jaringan ini dirancang untuk riset dan aksi paralel.

KUNCI invites you to a public discussion with Lars Hayer. Lars Hayer, co-director of the Wasteland Twinning Network, will speak about the recent Wasteland Twinning Forum held in Berlin and share on his current trip across India and South East Asia to Australia visiting the WT Network partners and sites. The Berlin based artist grew up in North Africa, studied philology in Germany and Fine Arts and photography in France and works as photographer and web developer for arts and cultural platforms.

Wasteland Twinning is engaging with the notion of wastelands as a complex inter-working of social, natural, and technological worlds and providing a unique link between people and landscape. Yogyakarta, led by KUNCI and Bon Suwung team, together with other sites around the world, such as Malaysia, India, Germany, England, join the Wasteland Twinning Network. By hijacking the concept of `City Twinning' and applies it to the urban wastelands, this network was designed for parallel research and action.
