(english version)KUNCI Cultural Studies Center invites you to a talk with Exchange Room guests, Irwan Ahmett and Tita Salina who are making a stop-by in Yogyakarta during their nomadic travel across the globe. In the year-long trip, Irwan and Tita have been spreading their modus operandi of playing around with the city and intervening fabrics of everyday life through forms of installation, photography, performance, live art, and video, together with citizens of different Europan cities.
How does their recent journey affect their creative approaches and methods in responding to urban problems? What kind of encounters took place when the interplay between home (or Jakarta, in Irwan and Tita's case) and abroad is increasingly dissolved upon intensifying global contacts, where geographical places traversed are already peopled with lives and histories? How do we chart out for `revolution' through the urban city space as a playground? Irwan and Tita would like to explore this set of problems with you in the discussion.
